Pink LED lights from Walmart. BEST. PURCHASE. EVER. They are the cutest frickin' things ever. I had a photo shoot with my gal pals in my room and the pictures just came out so perfect. This was my favorite shoot I've done so far. I wanted it to be weird, spacey, glitter, etc. kind of themed, but these lights just toooook ovvvveeeerrr!!!! There will be no commentary, just pictures. And loads of them!!!! Thank you to my besssst friends for participating, you guys are so very beautiful. I hope you all enjoy them as much as I did taking/editing/looking at them =^^=

"YOU" - Monet

Y'know, every day you meet someone new, whether a clerk at a store or someone who you accidentally bumped into. Many don't really make an impression in your life, but some do...that's Monet. She's possibly the most outgoing person I have met who just really does what she wants. When you first meet her, you already know she is a very confident person. When I asked her whether she's been like this all her life, to my surprise, she responds with a no. "In elementary I hung out with the shy group, but I was always outgoing in the inside, but for some reason not the outside." To me, it's craazzzyyyy how much people can change. Your brain develops every second of every day. You're learning new things that are changing the way you think and it just adds on and on and on and on. I admire Monet very much for bringing herself to become outgoing and become friends with those who were like her: sociable.
A few randoms fact about Monet are:
  • she loves Malcolm in the Middle
  • favorite person: her mom
  • she thinks feet are very cute
  • favorite song: What Do You Wanna Do (Feat. Dirty Radio) - Jean Tonique
One issue I wanted to bring up to everyone was about the Internet. Social media right now is mayhem. Racism, feminism, issues involving social construct, etc. Everyone is revealing their opinions in each of these, which makes people go crazy (because they may not agree with them). I was curious to see what Monet would say about these topics and what she found most interesting. She mentioned the race issues that have been flying left and right, involving the police. She didn't have much of an opinion, just that people may assume too much because of a specific event.
As a reminder, for each person I talk with, I want to share some things that I was reminded of or learned so here's that:
When Monet talked about how ridiculous it is to care what others think about you it sounded just...dumb...WHICH IT IS. People should just do whatever they want!!! We only live once, y'all (unless you believe in reincarnation, but what if you come back a...bird?!?!? UR NOT HUMAN ANYMORE!!!) Anyways...honestly, just do you. That is probably one of the best advice I have ever gotten because it can just make you 32907489723 times happier. It's tough to not care, we grow up in a society where there are beauty standards, but y'know what, everyone is beautiful, those beauty standards are a social construct!!!!! Without intending it, she also made me realize to get rid of the negativity in our life. If something or someone is making you unhappy...get rid of 'em!!! Again, it may not be easy, but it will make your life so much better. Life is too short to live in negativity!!! What I did learn from Monet was that we just have to pay attention. To..well..EVERYTHING!! Your life, social media, the world, your own choices, etc..even what you eat!!! A lot of those things have negative aspects, BUT don't let that bring your entire life down. Being aware isn't always bad, just as long as you don't let those negative aspects bring you entirely down, you're fine!!! Hopefully that makes sense...
Well, there ya have it!!! First post of "YOU". Thank you so much to Monet who volunteered to be a part of this, it means A LOT. You helped me open my eyes a bit more and I am so VERY grateful for that!! Hope you all (including you, Monet) liked the first post, it took me a while, but I'm pretty proud of the result. Love you all =^^=

My brain is tired. I feel it. And I don't know why. I get these I guess it's sort of like writer's block where my creative juices have been used up for some reason. I've been working on my interviews and I cannot figure out a way to display all the questions and answers, it's just not happening, IT'S STRESSING ME OUUUTT!!! So, it might be a while until I can get the first one out, hopefully it'll be soon. (btw here are some random semi-old pictures for visual)
I found this picture recently and really loved it??? Lookin' like a badass with my water bottle and temporary tattoo, hahahahahaha.
Also I'm moving in San Francisco in around a month and it's super terrifying. My mom went to Georgia for the weekend and I missed her so much..IT WAS 3 DAYS...HOW AM I GOING TO DO THIS?!!?? My plan is to make my bed space exactly how it is in my room so that I won't be -too- homesick, I think it's a pretty good plan. I'm also terrified on finding out who my roommates are going to be. I'll be living in an apartment with 4 others who I don't know AT ALL, crazzzzaaaayyyy. So far, San Francisco hasn't been good to me...concert wise. So many festivals/tours are happening in my favorite venues nearby WHEN I AM ALREADY MOVED OUT. AAANNND DURING MY MOVE OUT WEEKEND. I just have bad luck honestly. I need some voodoo mystical powers shed on me. Anyways, the transition is coming soon, man.
My friend and I once skipped sixth period because we knew it was going to be a bullshit day so we didn't wanna waste time in it, hahahaha. It was part of our "rebel" list, sorry Gnat if you're reading this, don't tell mom. But we just decided to go to Barnes & Noble and read some books, hahahaha, HOW REBEL OF US.
I went to an open mic night on Tuesday and it was my first time going to one!!! It was super cool and !**!chill!~*~*~* and people were just very nice? Y'know I've been to a couple hip! places and usually there's just a bunch of pretentious people who think they can judge everyone, but this time it was different. The place is pretty hip, but the people were super kind? Everyone supported each other and praised their work, it was pretty enlightening. Sometimes you can forget how kind the world can be because of the horrors that you can encounter. Something that means a lot to me and that I look for in people is kindness, being sweet, and just simply NICE. People sometimes give "being nice" a bad connotation; weak, pushover, boring. I don't know where it came from, but being nice is NOTHING related to those things. Just because you are a kind person, doesn't mean you let people step on you, it means you're a human being who respects others. Being a nice person can get you SO far in life with new opportunities or even free food (which is always awesome). What sucks about me is that I have "resting bitch face syndrome," which is exactly what it is. I look mad and rude when I'm just looking around, which makes me seem like a mean person, ahhahaha. Lately, I've been trying to kind """"smize"""" (smile with eyes) in order to give off a better vibe and I think it's going pretty well...hahahaha, but yeah. Being a kind person makes you an amazing being. I might make an entire post about it so watch out for that!!!!
Here's a disposable of my very messy room...I think it's a good shot hahahah.
One more thing: I'm VERY heartless...but I can love things/people/etc. SO MUCH. There is absolutely no inbetween and it's very amusing. I've always known myself to be cynical, I don't like being affectionate and just don't like revealing my emotions..but there's these moments where I just LOVE PEOPLE, like today. Some human beings just make me so very happy by the simple things they do (clap/whistle/yell after a performance, ask if we need anything, compliment each other, etc.). It's pretty great. But I'm just on an emotional rollercoaster 24/7.
Here's me and my friend Mia..I think she was pretending to be taking a selfy, but was actually zooming into our friend's face across the table hahahaha
Well, there's a bit of an update!!! My blog is currently under construction so sorry for any ugliness...I hope you all have a fantastic week =^^=

"YOU"

Before I start my project, "YOU", I want to share some thoughts, sort of like an introduction, of what I intend from getting out of this.
I didn't know what this project was at the beginning of it all, I thought it was a great idea so I acted on it before I changed my mind and didn't do it at all (which happens frequently when I think of a new project). So, I didn't know where it would go, didn't know what I wanted from it, and to be honest, forgot the entire purpose of it the next morning, after I thought of it, but couldn't turn back because I had already started. I guess that's how a lot things go in life...Anyways, I've figured out what I wanted. I've interviewed a couple people and I have already learned a lot, even if it's just a personal, simple thing. THAT is what I want. I think I'll be able to learn not only about these specific people, but also learn something new about life, whether good or bad, whether big or small, even if they don't intend it. I've also realized that I wanted people to volunteer to be in this project because that simple action shows soooo much character in those people. So while reading about the different beings that I will be talking about, just keep in mind that little known fact!
Anyways, "YOU" has already given me a new pair of glasses, which is crazy because I didn't think I would learn so much from everyone so far. I am SOOO excited to share everyone's stories.
So, continuing on with this, here's an introduction for "YOU" so you (and my future self) can get a grasp on it before it takes off.
"YOU" is about people. It's about, clearly by the title, you. It's about me. It's about loving oneself. Its about being comfortable in one's skin. It's about learning. Each person will be able to provide a view on life and you'll be able to see the different kinds of people that live in this world (which I think is super cool). Each person is clearly unique and different from one another. I asked them all a few of the same questions, but each of them had questions specifically for them as well. I asked them to wear their favorite outfit, which some did, but others didn't. I also took pictures of them in places that has a lot of personal memories and are just very pretty! I hope each post about each person gives you an insight on..just something. I will also include what I learned about each person on each of their posts. In order to give different content on my blog, I won't be posting the interviews consecutively, but just throw them out when I'm ready for it to be posted! Well..that's it!!! I hope you all enjoy this neeeeew project!!!

Honestly, High School Musical is the best movie ever. I've watched the series many many times and cannot get bored of it. I don't care if you listen to punk rock or alternative or jazz or classical or hip hop or country, YA GOTTA LOVE HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL SONGS?!?!?!? Anyways, just thought I would share that.
My friends and I went to the beach tonight and I took some pretty cute pictures of those crazy kids (and the bright sunset)!!!
Taking pictures has always been a joy to me and it sucks that I don't do it enough!!! Which is whhhyyyy, I am going to start a new project!!!!!! I was reading old posts I made when I first started this blog and there was something that caught my eye that I said I wanted to do: to be nosey and learn more about people. I specifically meant strangers, BUT my anxiety is too much for that. So, I came up with the idea of taking pictures of people I have met and ask them a few general questions about them or things about society or their favorite color or favorite quote, etc..I will also want to take pictures of them in their favorite outfit, one they feel good and comfortable in!!! I want this to be about loving yourself and feeling good in your own skin and all about YOU (the person I will be interviewing). (this project is also great because I am so nosey and want to know more about people hahahah). SO, for those who live near me, or close enough, and are interested, pleaaaaassseeee contact me on any of my social media or if you have my number, text me. Do not be scared to come to me, I really want this project to succeed, but I need people who actually want to do it!!! Contact me, poooor favor!!!! I am so excited to start this, I think it will be a gggrrrreaaaat hit!!!
I also have a bit of a rant: "Stop making stupid people famous." That's a quote I've seen on a poster or board or somewhere, I don't know, but seriously. The WORST people get the most attention from social media, and well, us, and I don't know why. Perhaps it's because we're trying to fight them..or maybe that's what humans find the most entertaining. Humans are pretty messed up sometimes. Anyways, what brought me to think about this is how gross some radio hosts are. This morning I heard one of them say that pretty people have a duty: to make others feel good by FLIRTING with them...what?!?! You're saying that people "who know they're pretty" should be OBLIGATED to flirt with someone in order to boost their self esteem?! It's kind of like saying someone should have sex with another person because they have never had sex or are "nerdy" so they never get the opportunity, it's disgusting!!!! And imagine, these people, who are speaking on one of the most listened to radio channels, are influencing others to believe the same things!!! They are influencing humanity!!!!!!! How can they say such things knowing MILLIONS of people could be listening?! Some celebrities are completely clueless and too scared to try to make a difference. They are the ones who have the most power to influence humans in a positive way, but nooooo they are using their fame to get money and talk about stupid internet memes on their songs. It just angers me soooo much. How can they be so ignorant?!?!?!
(This picture is crooked, but I'm way too lazy to fix it...but look how pretty the ocean?!?!?! Hahahaha)
These next two are my faaaavorites. They both look soooo CUUTEEE!!! I get so happy when not only do I like the pictures I take, but the people who I took pictures of likes them as well. I think that's when I know I did a good job, when that person loves how they look in that photo. Whenever I take pictures of people, I want to make sure they love them as well.
SO, there it is!!! I hope you all have a fantastic weekend!!! Again, if you're interested in my project, please contact me, I would love to have you on my blog!!!! =^^=
