Harry's Wondrous World

The name 'Lurking Cat' was based off of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, when Professor McGonagall first was introduced as a cat. So, basically I'm a HUGE Harry Potter fan and I finally...FINALLY was able to go to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, here in L.A. It was the best time ever and I couldn't be happier with how everything looked. It definitely did not disappoint and I maybe, just maybe, cried a bit when I was entering Hogsmeade. Just a little..
AND YES I DID TRY BUTTERBEER. AND IT WAS GOOD. AND LOOK HOW CUTE THE CUP WAS:
THE FLYING CAR!!!! Alright, to be quite honest, one of the rides 'Flight of the Hippogriff' was pretty lame..BUT THEY HAD LIKE A HUGE BUCKBEAK IN LINE SO THAT WAS AWESOME.
You guys...when you first see Hogwarts in the distance....it's just..BREATHTAKING. AND THE INSIDE IS SO DETAILED!!! It had Dumbledore's office and everything!!! And the ride inside Hogwarts was SO COOL, but not cool for people who get motion sickness easily...like my sister (she hated it ahhahaha).
THE STORES GUYS!!! They had The Three Broomsticks, Zonko's, Owlpost, OLLIVANDERS (!!!!),  and Honeydukes!!!
"Whether you come back by page or by the big screen, Hogwarts will always be there to welcome you home."
Here are the few things I got that day!!!
Dobby pin.
OBVIOUSLY got the Chocolate Frog and Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans.
I GOT DUMBLEDORE AND IT'S SO COOL.
Ravenclaw scarf because I'm in the Ravenclaw House.
AND I FINALLY, FFFIIIINNAAALLLLYYY GOT MY WAND.
I clearly had to get Luna Lovegood's wand because HEEELLLOOOOO!!!!!
The greatest part about this wand was that we were able to go around The Wizarding World and actually do spells!! There's a little censor at the tip of the wand and if you did a specific movement with it, you'd be able to do a spell!!! It was pretty damn cool.
I had the most AMMMAAZZING time ever and I can't wait to come back. There was even music playing througout the place and it made everything more magical. Harry Potter will always be that one thing I will come back to and just be obsessed with, it's one of the greatest creations ever, thank you, J.K. Rowling. If you haven't read the books or even watched the movies...ya gotta be kidding me, go do it!!!! It will not disappoint. =^^=

By Ourselves

We're all tired. Tired of seeing black bodies being thrown away constantly. A dead black person is becoming a normality and that is NOT okay.

We're protesting.

We're voting.

We're educated.

We're donating.

Now what?

What's next on the agenda? What else can we REALLY do to actually change what is happening? Being social activists online is amazing, wonderful, and should definitely be encouraged, but...what else?!?!?!!? Retweeting things isn't going to change the fact that police are killing people because of the color of their skin.
Not my image, please let me know if you know who's it is!!
Melody of themellowpeach made a post about having to be in charge. Being part of the people who have power, who are in actual politics, who are in the government. We need to become that power in order to truly change what is going on or else...we're just going to stick with hashtags and trends and donating and protesting, but nothing is going to change until someone with power decides to join #blacklivesmatter and begin their quest to end police brutality and all things that are unfair. Doesn't it suck that only the elite can actually help us?
We do have voices. We can have the power to change. But sitting behind a screen isn't going to help people of color and everyone else who is being mistreated because of who they are...which sucks because THAT'S ALL MOST OF US CAN DO!!
Teen Vogue page, March issue.
I am in no way criticizing anyone's way of becoming educated and how they're preaching because I am doing the same exact thing. All we can do right now is stay educated and be compassionate and show others compassion and watch out for our privilege, or else you're part of the problem. Staying educated won't help directly, but by doing that (staying educated), you're not being ignorant and walking around like nothing is happening and everything is perfect.
We need to recognize that some of us have it better than others, because if you're not realizing that then you're not helping the cause. I'm not saying your problems are less important than other's, but just look around you.
Thought I'd give my piece because of all what is happening. It's very important to know what's going on, EVERYWHERE in the world. Turmoil isn't only happening in the United States, but also El Salvador, Turkey, Armenia, U.K., etc., etc., etc., Basically the world sucks and all we can do is stay educated or be brave and join the elite. =^^=

this is what you came for

If ya haven't been camping this summer (or ever) GO PLAN, LIKE RIGHT NOW. Camping annually is one of the best traditions my family and I have. It's so fun to just spend a weekend with family and friends and food and rivers and lakes and NATURE! Nature is pretty cool (shout out to mother nature). I took a few pictures, practicing my manual camera skills, and actually made a mock vlog!! Hahahha, it'll probably be only funny to my sister, friend, and I, but it was pretty fun to make. Ever since, like, middle school I've wanted to make videos, but never did it, so I guess this can fulfill that idea, haaahahahahha. I might make other lil videos (especially because my sister has been bothering me to do so lol), but I don't know what the future will bring. So here's a bit of my yearly family camping trip:
Oh and here's a link to my video if anyone wants to watch me making fun things that actual youtubers do, lol. Hopefully now that I'm getting the hang of my camera, I'll be posting more pictures and editing them!! =^^=
